We were invited into three early 1960s homes by the iconic Deck House Company, two of its early models and a unique version created for one of the company’s founders. We saw a variety of approaches and insightful ways these homes have been preserved and adapted for 21st-century living. The stroll through this enclave to the three homes on a perfect autumn day was a delightful bonus.

A quick drive over to the fourth home rounded out the afternoon, one of the rare residences by Hamilton, Goody, and Clancy. Testament to the exceptional design of this 1962 hillside gem, its current owners have left virtually every original element in place!

The nature and landscaping surrounding each home enhanced this fun exploration of cultural heritage and design.

Thank you to all the homeowners who graciously welcomed us in and to all those who came out for the experience! Thanks also to architect Eve Isenberg and Kathy Mierzwa for their treasured support!
