Interior view with people outside, large windows, and text: 'Litchfield County 2025' and 'HISTOURY'.

Our first tour of modernism in Litchfield County was an inspiring experience…Thank you to the many people who invited us in to enjoy their beautiful, creative homes!

The modernist architecture tucked away in the rural beauty of northwestern Connecticut just had to be explored—our day kicked off at a fun and fresh 1962 home on a stunning hilltop surrounded by the Steep Rock Preserve. We made our way to the tranquil 1970s dwellings designed by Andrew Geller in Washington Depot, followed by a stop at Litchfield’s library to enjoy their Eliot Noyes addition.

The iconic Gagarin House I by Marcel Breuer was next. Last but not least, the gem surrounded by evergreens in West Cornwall—Peter Bohlin’s 1975 Forest House!
